Today will go down in history as the day when nothing went wrong during my commute to university.
I managed to leave early enough to avoid the rush hour, every gearchange was smooth, the car worked perfectly, I caught all the most important green lights, and no truly horrid song came on the radio. The traffic was perfectly predictable and enabled 'smart driving' on the part of someone who knows which lane to take at any given point.
Even a broken down Renault blocking one of the lanes at one point wasn't much of a problem since everyone managed to pull off a perfect zipper merge.
I wish every morning commute was like today's.
